OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIY
The Administrative Assistant performs general administrative support in the Catholic Community of Stratford faith formation efforts. Reports to the Director of Discipleship. Part Time – 15 hours per week.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Interacts and communicates with parishioners and appropriately responds to their needs and requests.
- Provides administrative support to the Director of Discipleship.
- Schedules meetings.
- Provides event logistics including organizing events, locations, food, set-up, RSVPS and provides appropriate communications.
- Prepares reports and documents for the faith formation program.
- Maintains all records associated with faith formation events.
- Coordinates sacramental record keeping for all regional programs.
- Updates ParishSoft with appropriate information.
- Manage social media accounts for the Stratford Parish Collaboration.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
- High school Diploma and at least two years of related office experience
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, and Excel), Google and Adobe Acrobat
- Prior experience with ParishSoft preferred
- Must be flexible and able to work well with fellow employees in a small office setting
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently, keeping tasks and projects running
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Self-motivated with a strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Solid problem solving and time management skills
- Able to multitask efficiently and effectively
- Highly organized with sharp attention to detail
- A strong work ethic and desire to exceed parishioner expectations
- Practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church preferred
- Bi-lingual in English and Spanish preferred
